PS Eco Village 4sml

Dragon and entrepreneur Bobby Kerr and RTE’s Ear to the Ground presenter Ella McSweeney pictured at the launch Build Phase 2 of the Cloughjordan Ecovillage. With over 50 houses under construction the ecovillage is already one of Ireland’s largest residential construction sites. The second phase of construction focuses on green business development, including a 520 sqm Eco-Enterprise Centre, a 32-bed Eco-hostel & Learning Centre, a wood-fired bakery and other new businesses.
The Launch will also mark the switching on of a 500 sqm Solar Park -the largest solar thermal array in Ireland- and the launch of the community woodlands where17,000 mixed native trees have been planted.
The second phase also sees the reduction in a range of site prices and offers new housing options. A number of sites are reduced in price by up to 40% to offer a wide range of people – from green business start-up to cost conscious self-builders – a more affordable way to launch their business or build a home.
