trWe will be working on several aspects of the Atmos Totnes Project, undertaking geotechnical investigation and assessment, flood risk assessment, surface water drainage design and preparation of a transport assessment.

We will be working closely with the design team, particularly with the project manager Dave Chapman and lead architect Andrew Kirkby on the initial master planning, as well as liaising with statutory consultees including the Environment Agency and Devon County Council.

Please share here other information that might help people understand the background of the company and its values.

We are perhaps best known for our work on the ground issues caused by the old mine workings in Gunnislake in the early to mid 1990s.  More recently we were involved in saving, protecting and reinstating Kingsand Clock Tower following the storms in early 2014 and there are some videos of the work on our website.  We regularly work on a range of projects throughout Devon, Cornwall and across the UK.  Our mission is to provide our clients with sound and cost-effective consultancy to enable them to achieve their business goals through innovative solutions.

What do you think makes Atmos Totnes so interesting?

The level of community involvement in all aspects of the work required to return this site to use.

Tell us a bit more about you. It can be something from your professional life or something about your interests outside of work.

I have a heart for people and community having had the privilege to serve as a minister in the Church of England for a time before returning to Engineering in 2011.  Through good engineering design we can help people and communities to achieve their aims and make a real difference.
