For the first time in 7 years, the site’s gates are opened to the public and an announcement is read out about the deal made between Dairy Crest, McCarthy & Stone and TCDS. It is announced that as part of the agreement TCDS are to take on the footprint around the Brunel Building and the building itself for one Totnes Pound (the town’s local currency at the time).
