Totnes Community Development Society has been granted permission to carry out the work on condition that development starts within two years of the approval date (29th February 2020), that it is in accordance with the drawings and plans provided, and that a Landscape Scheme is approved (by South Hams District Council) prior to commencing build above slab.

The reserved matters application approved deals with several Conditions within the Made Community Right to Build Order (the planning permission) in place for Atmos Totnes. The scheme is designed to develop affordable housing, enterprise and community space on the disused dairy site adjacent to Totnes railway station. The Community Right to Build Order was voted for in a local referendum, following formal consultation with the community and statutory agencies through Neighbourhood Planning Regulations.
