Following a year of pursuing our legal right in relation to the former Dairy Crest site in Totnes, we discovered on Friday 12th March that the site had been sold, by its new owner Saputo Dairy UK Ltd, to Fastglobe Mastics, an Essex-based company, a deal brokered by Totnes-based ‘land agent’ Mr Patrick Gillies, of Bruce Gillies Ltd. Totnes Community Development Society are moving forward to the next phase, working towards the development of the former Dairy Crest site into the planned Atmos Totnes project and the community redevelopment of The Mansion. Totnes Community Development Society has been granted approval for the first phase of the Atmos Totnes development by South Hams District Council. This follows the application of reserved matters for phase 1a of development relating to the construction of a bat house on the Atmos Totnes site. Totnes Community Development Society Directors would like to update the community on the situation regarding the purchase of the land from Saputo UK (formerly Dairy Crest). The Society has been informed that another organisation, FastGlobe (Mastics) Ltd, may be seeking to buy the former Dairy Crest site. An Atmos Totnes news update: The reptile relocation from Atmos Totnes has completed, extended across the summer due to several hot spells.
