John Rowse on where the Dairy Crest site got its water

January 20, 2015

John Rowse was one of the people who dropped in to the Atmos Totnes Hub in November, and while looking at the map of peoples’ memories of different parts of the Dairy Crest site he explained how the factory got its water:

He also recalled how he started working on the site in April 1956 as a trainee engineer and worked there for 41 years. He recalls how the site and how it worked changed over time. “I’ve seen many many changes”, he says, including the construction of the north part of the site.

We are proud to have received funds from All Our Stories Heritage Lottery Fund which has supported work during this stage of consultation at Atmos Totnes. english_landscape_black (2)
